Draw a bird.

Draw a bird body onto a piece of felt. To do this, draw a pear shape and add a circle for a head.

Cut it out.

Cut out your bird body.

Fold paper.

Choose a piece of construction paper and fold it back and forth, like a fan.

Fold and cut.

Fold your bird body in half and cut a small slit large enough to thread the folded paper.

Glue eyes.

Glue two wiggly eyes onto your bird’s head.

Draw a triangle.

Draw a triangle onto a piece of orange felt.

Cut.

Cut out the triangle.

Glue triangle.

Glue the triangle onto the bird’s head to be the bird’s beak.

Pull paper through slit.

Pull the folded paper through the slit you cut.

Open the wings.

Carefully open the wings.
